Anti-static dust-control support for interior paint

For facilities, builders, contractors, and production spaces.

RepelX™ is mixed into compatible interior latex and acrylic paint to help reduce static-driven dust attraction on painted walls, doors, trim, corridors, garages, warehouses, and production support areas.

Use it when repainting spaces where dust makes finished surfaces look dirty too fast. It supports cleaning programs, property turnover, maintenance painting, and facility refresh work.

  • Standard dose: 1 fl oz per gallon of compatible interior paint.
  • Commercial testing: side-by-side pilot areas at 1 oz/gal and, if needed, 1.5 oz/gal.
  • Best fit: facilities, builders, contractors, property teams, warehouses, and production support areas.

Cleaner-looking painted surfaces between service cycles.

For commercial teams, dust on painted surfaces means more touch-up cleaning, faster visual wear, and spaces that look neglected before the coating has actually failed. RepelX helps reduce the static attraction behind that buildup.

Interior trim showing dust buildup before using RepelX™ Anti-Static Paint Additive
BEFORE

Standard interior paint

Painted walls, trim, doors, and corridors can hold static charge that attracts airborne dust, lint, and light debris between scheduled cleanings.

AFTER

Paint treated with RepelX™

RepelX is built into the paint during mixing, helping reduce static-driven dust attraction on the finished surface without changing the painter's normal application process.

Results shown are representative examples. Actual performance may vary depending on paint formulation, surface type, environmental factors, and application method. Always test on a small area before full application.

Helps reduce static-driven dust attraction on painted surfaces in warehouses, facilities, contractor projects, production support areas, and managed properties.

Fits the normal paint workflow.

RepelX is added before application, then the paint is brushed, rolled, or sprayed as usual. That makes it practical for painters, contractors, facility maintenance crews, and managed property refresh work.

1

Measure dose

Use 1 fl oz of RepelX per gallon of compatible interior latex or acrylic paint.

2

Add to paint

Pour into the paint before application. For production environments, test side-by-side areas first.

3

Mix thoroughly

Stir until fully blended so the additive is distributed through the coating.

4

Apply normally

Use standard brush, roller, or spray methods according to the paint manufacturer's instructions.

For teams that repaint space at scale.

RepelX is positioned for companies that care about how painted surfaces look after turnover, buildout, maintenance cycles, or production-area refresh work.

Reduce the static attraction behind dust buildup.

Dust sticks to painted surfaces when static charge pulls airborne particles onto the paint film. In commercial interiors, that can show up on walls, doors, trim, corridors, storage spaces, and production support areas.

The Problem: Static Charge

When you paint a surface, the dried film gradually builds up electrostatic charge from air movement, humidity changes, and everyday friction. That charge creates an invisible field that attracts oppositely charged particles, pulling dust, shop dust, lint, and light debris onto painted walls, trim, doors, and baseboards.

The Solution: Ionic Balance

RepelX™ contains a biodegradable quaternary ammonium ester compound, a cationic (positively charged) molecule that migrates to the surface of dried paint. These ions create a conductive layer that dissipates static charge as it builds, helping reduce the electrostatic field and minimizing how much dust surfaces attract.

Surface cleaning

Cleaning removes the dust you can see. It does not change why particles cling to the paint, so buildup can return quickly in shops, warehouses, or production areas.

Good housekeeping, not prevention

Wipes and dryer sheets

These may cut static briefly on a small object. They are not a practical treatment for walls, trim, doors, warehouses, or production rooms.

Temporary and hard to scale

RepelX™

RepelX mixes into the paint before application, so static reduction is built into the painted surface. No wipe-down routine after the paint dries.

Built into the paint film

Simple enough for the jobsite. Useful enough for the facilities budget.

The product stays easy to explain: add RepelX to compatible interior paint, mix thoroughly, and apply normally. The value is in reducing static-driven dust attraction after the paint dries.

3X

8, 16, and 32 oz bottles

Built for samples, small pilots, contractor jobs, and volume programs. One fluid ounce treats one gallon of compatible interior paint.

Designed for familiar paint workflows

Use with compatible interior latex and acrylic paints. Always test with the specific coating system before a larger rollout.

Commercial dust-control support

Helps reduce static-driven dust attraction on finished painted surfaces. It supports, but does not replace, cleaning and dust collection.

Samples, pilots, and volume pricing for business buyers.

RepelX is best introduced through a simple side-by-side test. Tell us how many gallons of paint you need to treat, where the project is, and whether this is a pilot, contractor job, facility rollout, or distribution inquiry.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers for commercial buyers, contractors, facility teams, and distributors.

What is RepelX™ and how does it work? +

RepelX™ is an anti-static paint additive that dissipates the electrostatic charge that causes dust to stick to painted walls, trim, and baseboards. You simply mix 1 oz of RepelX™ per gallon of latex or acrylic paint before applying. No special equipment or extra coats needed.

Is RepelX™ compatible with any paint brand or color? +

Yes. RepelX™ is formulated for all interior latex and acrylic paints regardless of brand or color. At the recommended 1 oz per gallon dose it has no effect on tint or finish. Always test with the exact paint system before rollout.

How much RepelX™ do I add per gallon? +

The dosage is 1 fl oz of RepelX™ per 1 gallon of paint. Squeeze the measured amount directly into the paint can, stir for 2 minutes until fully blended, then apply as normal. Over-dosing beyond 2 oz per gallon is not recommended.

Will it change the sheen or finish of my paint? +

No. At the recommended 1 oz per gallon ratio, RepelX™ does not measurably alter sheen level. Flat stays flat, eggshell stays eggshell, and satin stays satin. Color accuracy is also unaffected.

What sizes does RepelX™ come in? +

RepelX™ is available in three sizes: 8 fl oz (treats 8 gallons of paint), 16 fl oz (treats 16 gallons), and 32 fl oz (treats 32 gallons). The 32 oz bottle is useful for contractors, facility pilots, and multi-room projects.

Can RepelX™ be used for exterior painting projects? +

RepelX™ is optimized for interior applications where airborne dust and static buildup are the primary concerns. Exterior surfaces face different challenges (rain wash, UV degradation), so results may vary. Contact us if you have a specific exterior or specialty use case to discuss.

How long does the anti-static protection last? +

The anti-static protection is built into the paint film itself, so it lasts as long as the paint does, typically years under normal interior conditions. Unlike surface sprays or wipes, you won't need to reapply between paint jobs.

Where can I buy RepelX™? +

RepelX™ is currently available through approved wholesale and retail distribution partners. If you're a retailer, paint store, or contractor supply house interested in carrying RepelX™, use the contact form above to get in touch with our distribution team.

Is RepelX™ safe to use? +

Yes, when handled and used as directed. RepelX is a concentrate, so read the label and Safety Data Sheet before use, wear gloves and eye protection when handling the concentrate, keep it away from heat or flame, and keep it out of reach of children and pets. The full safety page and SDS are linked on this site.

Does RepelX™ work on ceilings and trim, or just walls? +

RepelX™ works on any surface painted with latex or acrylic paint: walls, ceilings, trim, baseboards, doors, and cabinetry. Baseboards and trim are especially high-impact areas since they sit close to the floor where dust circulation is heaviest.
